The management shake-up comes at a time when Boeing is working to ensure the maiden flight of its long-delayed 787 Dreamliner happens by the end of the year.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed in New Delhi by Jim Albaugh, President of Boeing Integrated Defence System and HAL Chairman Ashok K Baweja, the Indian defence PSU, will manufacture subsystems for Boeing's wide range of fighter planes like F-15, F-18 Super Hornetts and Apace Helicpoters.
Expecting the Indian defence market to grow to $10-15 billion over the next decade, US aerospace firm Boeing on Friday said it was looking to sell different aircraft and equipment, besides cooperate with local firms on production front
